This year has been a remarkable one for Claremont School students undertaking LAMDA exams, with results that have left us absolutely thrilled. In February 2025, 25 students took their exams, with 23 achieving Distinctions and 2 earning Merits. By July, another set of 26 students sat for their exams, all of whom achieved Distinctions. Over the past three years, a total of 148 exams have been conducted, with an astounding 146 Distinctions and 2 Merits achieved. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of every single student, as part of Claremont’s double national award-winning Performing Arts department. LAMDA exams have a profound impact on young people, providing one-on-one interaction with teachers that fosters personal growth and confidence. This individualised attention allows students to explore their abilities, make mistakes, and ultimately discover their unique strengths at their own pace. For those going to university, Gold Distinction is worth 30 UCAS points; over half of an A*/A Level grade.
