Claremont Summer School 2025
Students aged 7 - 13 develop both academic knowledge and essential life skills at Claremont Prep School with learning tailored to each student’s needs and interests, ensuring they are motivated, inspired and challenged.
Students study Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) alongside specialist-led lessons in languages, computing and the creative arts.
Students develop cognitive, digital fluency and communication skills through a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, performing arts and clubs.
Students fast-track English fluency with specialist-led sessions and tailored support with the option of learning French, Spanish, German and Mandarin.
Boarders grow academically, personally and socially at our boarding houses through high standards of care and a multicultural community that welcomes students from age 10.
Learners grow in purpose-built facilities including science labs and ICT suite, creative studios, sports arenas and fields and performance spaces.
Students lead through House Captain, Student Council, sports clubs, prefect-ship opportunities and The Arrow school newspaper project.

Our student-led initiatives like the Forest School, Beach School, Eco Leads, Rookie Lifeguards, The Arrow newspaper and Debating & Public Speaking foster children's confidence and leadership, while participation to charity events increases their empathy and emotional intelligence. Students start filling in their Skills Passport, a document collecting evidence of their skills development in lessons, projects, clubs, community or charity work.
For Year 7 to Year 13, Mandarin and German are taught on a 1:1 basis at the school, while French and Spanish are part of the Prep School curriculum.
Foreign students can benefit from our English as an Additional Language provision, through dedicated sessions and small-classes interactions.
School teams often participate in sporting tournaments all around Europe, including a recent cricket tournament in France.
Prep students also engage with peers from all over the world with ISP's Chess, Artists and MUN ILOS programmes, confidently leading initiatives and having fun while developing an international mindset.
When students leave us for the Senior School, they are prepared for the next chapter in their educational journey with lasting friendships, cherished memories and a strong skill set that sets them up for success.

Learning Extension Programmes
The Learning Extension Programmes (LEPs) allow children in Years 7 & 8 to extend their learning in a direction of their choice, igniting a passion for learning outside the curriculum requirements.
There are four potential programmes to explore:
Eco School
Representing every class at the Claremont Prep school, Eco Leads drive initiatives to educate and empower the whole school community to create a sustainable future. They improve awareness on the topic, take part in useful projects like building bat boxes and help out at our Eco Shop, open every Friday.
Students learn sustainability, respect for each other and other global issues in Geography, Science, Maths and Art classes.
Thanks to the community's efforts we've been an accredited Eco School with a Green Flag Award for the three years now.
