Every moment is designed to inspire and engage whether in the classroom or on exciting excursions.
Developing confidence, teamwork, public speaking, creativity and more – our Summer School students leave with more than just memories, but also skills for life.
At our summer school, students are immersed in real-world situations through our innovative Active English approach, using language and communication skills to solve practical challenges, primarily through film making and performing arts.
At each level, they work towards improving listening, speaking, problem-solving, creativity, leadership and teamwork skills.
During the afternoon sessions, students can choose from a range of sporting, theatrical and outdoor activities that encourage communication.
This is another opportunity to immerse them in English, using specific vocabulary, honing their speaking and listening skills whilst having fun.
Students experience cultural immersion through various day trips and excursions:
Providing an interesting mix of evening entertainment at the boarding house encourages teamwork and new friendships - here's just a selection of some of the activities we organise:
Students celebrate the end of Summer School with a graduation party giving them a chance to share laughter and memories, leaving with lasting friendships.

Students need some pocket money for trips to London and to spend in nearby towns and shops. They are to give the money for safekeeping to our residential team on arrival, and can then have access to it as and when they need it.
A qualified nurse is available on-site for the duration of the course. You are required to fill in the Medical Form when registering for the course and can give required medication to our staff on arrival. They will make sure it is taken on time. All members of the Claremont Summer School team are trained in First Aid before the start of the courses. A member of our medical team will be in touch with you and discuss medications and needs before you arrive here.
In case of emergencies, you will be contacted immediately. All campuses at the school are within a 15-minute drive of the Conquest Hospital, Hastings and help is always around.
