Programme highlights
ISP Artists encourages the artistic exploration of ISP students by providing them with guided activities to inspire their creative expression. Their work is then curated and shared in virtual spaces and schools through exhibitions.

In this brand new programme you will have the opportunity to watch your child grow their creative confidence as they dive into an enriching art framework exclusively designed by the ILOS team for students and teachers of ISP Artists. This framework will allow students to explore their creativity as they familiarise themselves with different techniques, mediums and themes. Additionally, students will participate in two live-streamed sessions facilitated by experts in the field who will support the students in developing their creative confidence.
ISP Chess Masters
ISP Chess Masters grows students’ skills and teamwork by connecting them with other ISP students to play fast chess in online and in-person tournaments in local, regional and global contexts.
Knowledge: Know how to decode an issue and the strategies that can be used for structured problem-solving
Skills: Be able to apply logical reasoning and mental flexibility to make effective decisions
Understanding: Develop an understanding of gameplay by recursively growing spatial reasoning and strategy making abilities
Confidence: Grow confidence in decision-making skills to make effective choices to engage in gameplay
I love chess and having the opportunity to get better at it through tournaments is simply amazing. You can share ideas about moves and your style of playing at the same time as playing, you can play with people you don't know and all of that with no material needed, just a computer.

ISP Cultural Exchange
ISP Cultural Exchange encourages reciprocal exchange across regions where ISP schools are located. The aim is to offer students the opportunity to experience a culture different from their own through a homestay and attending another ISP school for a month.

ISP Scientists
ISP Scientists provides a unique opportunity for students to become citizen scientists and contribute to real-world STEM research projects like mapping the journey of missing plastic waste or tracking their habits to measure their environmental impact.

ISP Filmmakers
ISP Filmmakers is a multi-disciplinary project in which students learn the importance of collaboration in achieving the common goal of producing a film, its trailer and poster. It provides insights into career pathways in film and media.

This programme really improves your understanding of filmmaking, planning, scenes shots and will really help you on your application later on for university. It also teaches you to work together on camera shots and editing that for sure will be needed in the future.

Boarding LeadersEach year, at our international school in East Sussex, leaders are appointed within boarding. Boarders’ Voice is a group formed within the boarding community where boarders discuss their experience with their House Leads and make suggestions to constantly better their experience in Claremont boarding.

Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme Through the DofE scheme students experience life changing opportunities, fun times with friends and an opportunity to discover new interests and talents. They take up volunteering activities, improve physical abilities, develop practical and social skills and plan, train and complete a supervised expedition.
Learners can access all three levels: Bronze (Year 9), Silver (Years 10 to 13) and Gold (with bespoke guidance).

Forest SchoolVenturing out to Forest School is a much anticipated part of the school week for children from Pre-Reception and up to Year 6.
Each session is primarily child-lead, with chosen activities ranging from building a simple woodland shelter to using natural, sustainable materials for a creative project and from learning to use tools safely to simply sharing the discovery of an unsuspecting family of earwigs with friends.

School Council
The School Council Reps, with representation across our form groups, are a vital link between their peers and our Senior Leadership team.
Our Reps often grow into becoming superb role models providing important feedback and useful ideas on how to make our school an even better place. In the past, they have been crucial in speaking with teachers and leaders on issues such as improving our play areas, making spaces of the school day better and providing ideas on our already delicious food menu.

Sports Captains
Across all of our teams within the sport curriculum and the academies, showing leadership through captaincy is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop core life skills.

Prefects are essential leaders who shape the school’s pastoral life and culture. The prefect system is designed to practise valued personal qualities such as self-discipline, leadership skills, communication skills, public speaking, politeness, helpfulness, respect and care for others. Sports Leaders Awards
With the Sports Leaders Awards programme students from Year 9 - 10 learn how to lead and coach different sports. Skills acquired are applicable in various settings, from organising community events to managing roles in further education or initial employment.
The programme includes the Sports Leaders UK Level 3 Award in Sports Leadership, a qualification that enhances personal statements and Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) applications.
The course comprises six units, with assessments based on portfolio work, practical demonstrations, community involvement and organizing a major sports event for local primary schools.
The Arrow Newspaper
The talented pupils of Claremont Prep School at The Arrow Newspaper Club craft our school's newspaper, under the guidance of Cathryn Kemp, former journalist and author. Each year, three editions are released, with over 4,000 copies printed to date, ensuring that their stories reach a wide audience. Our budding journalists received two honours:
For our students the House system is the heart of our Claremont community, fostering a strong sense of belonging, with each house having its own unique identity.
In Prep School students are divided into Athens, Corinth and Sparta Houses.
The number of Stars and Commendations for each House are added up and celebrated during Friday’s assembly. The students’ Heads of House charity events, the annual Spelling Bee, Swimming Gala and Sports Day are just some of the challenges that run throughout the year with the winning House announced during Claremont Day.
Senior Houses are named after four Historic castles: Bodiam, Camber, Pevensey and Scotney. Each house has a team of tutors and a Head of House who have pastoral responsibility for their peers. Students from all year groups work and socialise together during assemblies, competitions, charity events and dinners.
Claremont League recognises, rewards and celebrates student and House endeavours in all their forms, both academic and pastoral, individual and community including outstanding attitudes to learning.Students gain merits or commendations from excellent work in the class, showing initiative in co-curricular programmes and being a good citizen to a fellow student.
Families with children in Prep School can benefit from our after school care programme.Children enjoy fun clubs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, playing together and experimenting learning in action. After that, they can stay at school until 5.50pm with the Late Stay option.All of our internal clubs and Late Stay are included within the school fees and Late Stay includes a sandwich supper.
