Claremont Summer School 2025
Our youngest students, aged 2 - 5, learn with curiosity and grow with confidence through purposeful play and fun-filled activities.
Our youngest learners begin their social, emotional and cognitive development through play-based learning, guided discussions and engaging activities.
Children learn in a calm, safe environment and their wellbeing is looked after by teachers and tutors who observe them, work with them and support their needs.
Learners have their own play areas and exclusively designed activity spaces for both indoor and outdoor learning.
Children enjoy our Forest and Beach School programmes and activities in the mud kitchen and vegetable gardens within a vast campus including expansive woodlands.
Children gain English fluency through storytelling, songs, activities and interactive plays designed to enhance vocabulary, listening and speaking abilities.
Our teachers partner up with parents to share updates, observations and improve learning experiences for our youngest learners.
Children enjoy clubs and activities related to music, dance, outdoor explorations and sports after regular hours till 5.30pm to make it easier for busy parents.
Our admissions process is simple, personalised and has additional support for international families.
Children learn through a teacher-led programme, with the support of a Teaching Assistant providing wholesome attention and guidance. Pre-Reception students share learning spaces and extra-curricular activities with Pre-Prep learners, ensuring seamless progress from one stage to the next one.
Igniting a love for learning
Children learn within the latest Early Years national framework with teacher-led classes that make them excited to learn. This early introduction to structured learning sets them on a path to success.
Additional specialist-led classes in Music, Art and Physical Education further enhance children's educational experience.
Making learning fun
Children engage and learn through teacher-guided activities focused on developing social, physical, verbal and early reading skills.  From art and music to role-play and interactive games, students discover a wide range of activities that support their growth in different ways.
Our gardens and play areas let children learn through active play and hands-on discovery. The ‘mud kitchen’ has hosted many imaginary meals with natural ingredients sourced from the bushes and grounds.
Exploring the outdoors
Students thrive through immersive Forest School and Beach School sessions held three times a week in our expansive woodlands. These experiences build confidence, social skills, communication, physical fitness and a positive attitude towards learning.
At Claremont School's Pre-Reception, our youngest learners experience a smooth transition from the warmth of their homes to the school environment with engaging, playful activities designed to develop fundamental personal and social skills, guided by specialised nursery teachers.
Enjoy personalised learning that builds skills, nurtures each child and carefully measure their progress
Develop essential collaboration, self-expression and language skills for all-round progress
Get ready for the "Big School"
Although each day there are planned activities which centre around the seven EYFS learning areas, our teachers and children work together and often the day's learning is moulded around the interests of the children on that day. They guide the children to talk about what they are doing and why, monitor their progress and consider possible next steps.
Children achieve academic success through a dynamic and engaging programme. Our phonics and maths curriculums lay a strong foundation for future learning, supported by discreet summative assessments that track progress from Pre-Reception onwards.
At Claremont, learning is about more than just books and homework; it’s about getting ready for life.Â
Children become great thinkers, team players and problem solvers. Whether it's learning to be resilient or working together on big ideas, our highly skilled team are here to help them grow.Â
Through our Outdoor Learning and varied curriculum, our youngest learners enjoy fun adventures, exciting challenges and chances to explore the world, building leadership and teambuilding skills and fostering a sense of community.
By the time children reach their fourth birthday at Claremont, they have already started phonics lessons and are familiar with their new teachers.
This facilitates their entrance to the Prep School as they already feel at ease with an environment that will challenge them to grow into curious, confident individuals.
Tailored guidance
Each child receives personal attention thanks to low staff-to-child ratios. Teachers get to know the children's needs, specificities and areas that require increased support really well.
Children at our Pre-Reception School grow in a nurturing culture, beautiful outdoor spaces and happy atmosphere that make school an extension of their homes.
Family-friendly schedule
Pre-Reception currently operates two sessions from 8.00am to 1.00pm and from 1.00pm to 6.00pm.
Families can take advantage of full or part-time hours and term-only schedule options to accommodate their needs.
Admissions for Pre-Reception is open all year round at Claremont school. Our admissions team is here to guide you to help find the perfect start date for your child.
