Sixth Form

A personalised pathway to exceptional futures

The Sixth Form at Claremont is a place of ambition, discovery and transformation - a natural progression built upon the strong foundations laid throughout our school from the earliest years.

As a non-selective, co-educational community for students aged 3–18, we believe deeply in the potential of every individual, and our Sixth Form represents the moment when that potential truly begins to take shape as students prepare for life beyond school.

Victoria Liggett

I am delighted to welcome you to Claremont Sixth Form: a dynamic, forward looking environment where ambition is matched with outstanding support.

Victoria Liggett, Director of Sixth Form

Outstanding academic results

Our academic outcomes speak for themselves. 47% of grades are awarded at A or A*.

These results are not accidental. They are the product of expert teaching, careful subject
guidance, rigorous monitoring and truly knowing each student’s learning style. We are
ambitious for every learner and relentless in helping them achieve their best.

Build a personalised curriculum

Students advance with a wide-ranging, ambitious and forward thinking Sixth Form programme.

They enhance not only high quality academic preparation, but also key leadership and communication skills, so they can grow into socially responsible, assertive and organised young adults.

Core learning pillars

Academic excellence is a hallmark of a Claremont education, reflected in our outstanding outcomes – yet we measure success more broadly
than examination results alone. We encourage students to explore their talents,
embrace challenge and develop the resilience, creativity and collaboration skills
that will define their futures.

More than A Levels Extended Project Qualification

More than A Levels

As well as A Levels, students have the opportunity to study Level 3 BTEC qualifications in some subjects, as well as Sports Leaders’ Award, Arts Awards, Duke of Edinburgh and LAMDA qualifications.

Extended Project Qualification

In addition to Sixth Form subjects, students can carry out research on a preferred topic, not covered by their other qualifications with the EPQ. They then produce a written report, an artefact, a production or event.

It is an excellent chance for students to develop skills that are required for success in the workplace or at university.
