Claremont is delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding A Level and BTEC results.

Claremont is delighted to celebrate another year of outstanding A Level and BTEC results, reflecting on the hard work, determination and resilience of our students, and the unwavering dedication of our teachers.

This year, 46% of all A Level grades were at A* or A, up from 44% last year, and 5% above the national average. There was a further impressive 64% at A* - B grade (again up from 60% in 2024). Our value added score of 0.92 - adding almost one whole grade from a student’s expected grades - highlights the transformative impact of a Claremont education, enabling students to exceed expectations, achieve their personal best and secure the best possible opportunities for the next stage of their learning journey.

These results demonstrate the strength of our academic provision and the inspirational learning environment we continue to foster. We are so proud of all our staff who offer exceptional teaching and learning enabling our students to move onto the next phase of the educational journey in the best possible place for them.

Students are now heading to a wide range of further education institutions including Durham, Exeter, York, University of the Arts, Leeds, and Loughborough.

Stand out subjects include Further Mathematics, with 100% of students achieving an A or A*; over 60% of our students studying Art and Photography achieved an A or A*; and 100% of students achieving grade A or A* in their Extended Project Qualification.

Notable individual successes include Eddie who achieved two A*s in Mathematics and Physics, and As in Further Mathematics and Music and will study Physics and Astronomy at Durham; Izzie, who will study Law at Exeter following a string of Distinction and Distinction* in Business and PE; and Chloe who will study Psychology at York following outstanding grades in Psychology (A), PE (Distinction*) and her EPQ (A*).

Some truly remarkable achievements emerged from the Creative Faculty, showcasing the exceptional talent of our students and our acclaimed Performing Arts programme. Here, students achieved a 100% Distinction in their LAMDA exams, raising the average pass rate over the past three years to 99%.

Claremont School’s Principal, Ed Dickie, said:

‘I am deeply proud to be celebrating a fantastic set of results for our A Level and BTEC students. With nearly half achieving A*/A, or their BTEC equivalent, we have once again demonstrated that our young people can achieve the best possible results, regardless of their starting point.

The range of destinations that these wonderful students are heading for reflects the diversity of their skills and interests - from Sports Scientists to Mathematicians, and Actors to Politicians. I have been inspired by the manner in which they have supported and celebrated each other's triumphs and we wish them well as they head off into the world.’
