14-01-2026

In a recent league table compiled by Best Schools, Claremont are 39th in the UK and one of the highest in the region.

We are delighted to be named as a Top 50 UK Boarding School for A Level results, in a new league table compiled by Best Schools, recognising our successful future pathways programme and academic rigour that runs throughout the school.

Last year, 47% of all A Level grades were at A* or A, up from 44% the previous year, and 5% above the national average. There was a further impressive 64% at A* - B grade (again up from 60% in 2024). Our value added score of 0.92 - adding almost one whole grade from a student’s expected grades - highlights the transformative impact of a Claremont education, enabling students to exceed expectations, achieve their personal best and secure the best possible opportunities for the next stage of their learning journey.

These results demonstrate the strength of our academic provision and the inspirational learning environment we continue to foster throughout the school. With 46% of offers coming from Russell Group universities, we were delighted to see students heading off to Durham, Exeter, York, University of the Arts, Leeds, Loughborough, and Oxford. This is alongside the amazing performing arts and dance schools, degree apprenticeships and other further education placements that were no less impressive.
