These are extraordinary times and although our school buildings are temporarily closed to our students, Claremont is still very much open…virtually! An exciting and extensive distance learning programmed ‘A School without Buildings’ has been in place since 23rd March for our existing students and those who plan to join us in September. We would like to invite you to join us for a Virtual Open Morning webinar on 22nd May.
Giles grew up in East Sussex in the UK, at Bede’s Senior School which his father founded in 1978. In this webinar, Giles will talk about the extraordinary history of Claremont School, as the Senior School approaches its 10th year since its foundation and the Prep School looks ahead to its Centenary in 2025. Giles will also talk about the School’s Promises to its Parents and its ambitions for the future.
Francoise Armstrong is Claremont’s Assistant Head and our Director of Boarding. For all boarders, Ms. Armstrong is the link between home and school, providing advice, help and support for all boarding students however big or small their needs are. When students join our vibrant boarding community, they immediately become part of the Claremont family and go on to forge what often become life-long friendships, across different cultures and age groups. At our International-themed webinar, Francoise will tell you all about the boarding and international student experience at Claremont.
Since its foundation in 2011, Claremont Senior School has gone from strength to strength. In this webinar, Headteacher Ed Dickie will talk about how leading a relatively new school has meant that Claremont has been able to clearly define the values that guide us – attitude, aspiration and positive activism. Ed will explain what it really means to ‘Be Yourself at Claremont’ and his and team’s role in helping to prepare young people for a world that never stands still.
If you would like to join us for this webinar, please let us know if there is anything in particular you would like to know about the school by including your question on the Registration Form. We hope to answer as many questions as we can throughout the course of the webinar, however, there will be another opportunity to submit your questions during the broadcast itself which we will endeavour to answer as soon as we can. After our Virtual Open Morning Webinar, we will be in touch again with a unique link to a digital content hub we have set up specifically for webinar attendees. This will give you an opportunity to hear from other key members of our teaching and leadership team, links to further reading and contact details should you wish to book a virtual meeting with a member of our Teaching or Admissions Team.
