Virtual Open Morning Webinar Series

Be Yourself at Claremont

These are extraordinary times and although government guidelines currently prevent us from hosting our usual full Open Morning experience for all prospective parents on site, Claremont is still very much open…virtually!  We would like to invite you to join us for our next Senior School Virtual Open Morning webinar on 16th October from 9am-10am. Our virtual open morning webinars are designed to give you a ‘virtual’ flavour of life at Claremont, and to hopefully inspire you to find out more about our school.

Whilst government guidelines allow, we are happy to arrange a private tour for parents on Saturday 17th October and throughout the working week for those who would prefer to see the school while in session.  If you would like to join us for our next Senior School live webinar on 9th October 2020 from 9 – 10am, please fill in the registration form, indicating whether you would like to be contacted by our Admissions team to arrange either a site tour the following day on Saturday 10th October, or a private tour during the week so you can see the school on a normal working day.

Virtual Open Morning Webinar

Our speakers have tried to focus on the questions they get asked most regularly by prospective parents when they come to visit.  Claremont School has a remarkable history and has been on an extraordinary journey over recent years, culminating in a new and exciting partnership with ISP and a third consecutive  ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted in March 2019.  Our School has much to be proud of and plenty to look forward to.  We hope these webinar sessions will help answer those questions and bring the school to life in our new virtual world.  Meet some of our key speakers…

Ed Dickie

Since its foundation in 2011, Claremont Senior School has gone from strength to strength. In this webinar, Headteacher Ed Dickie will talk about how leading a relatively new school has meant that Claremont has been able to clearly define the values that guide us – attitude, aspiration and positive activism. Ed will explain what it really means to ‘Be Yourself at Claremont’ and his and team’s role in helping to prepare young people for a world that never stands still.

Claire Martin

Claire Martin is Assistant Head (teaching and learning) with the main responsibility for curriculum design up to the Year 11. Claire is also the lead teacher for Chemistry at the Senior School and during this webinar will be talking about how we prepare students in the lead up to the crucial GCSE years,  tailored study paths and putting students at the centre of their own learning.

Lea Owen

Lea is Deputy Head with the main responsibility for the Academic and Pastoral progress of all our senior school students. In this webinar, Lea will be talking about our fantastic Co-Curricular Programme, and the Claremont approach to nurturing talent, encouraging students to try something new and empowering our young people to become masters of the things that they love.

Victoria Liggett

Victoria is the Head of Claremont Sixth Form with the main responsibility for curriculum design and the ongoing development of the many learning opportunities and study paths available to students. Victoria will be talking about what ‘Opportunity’ looks like for Sixth Form students at Claremont and how we prepare them for the diverse array of challenges and opportunities that await in life, as well as in further education.

Boarding Houses

Our two boarding houses are located off-campus, as we believe it is vital for the students to have a break from school at the end of each day and at the weekend.
