Virtual Open Morning Webinar

Our speakers have tried to focus on the questions they get asked most regularly by prospective parents when they come to visit.  Claremont School has a remarkable history and has been on an extraordinary journey over recent years, culminating in a new and exciting partnership with ISP and a third consecutive  ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted in March 2019.  Our School has much to be proud of and plenty to look forward to.  We hope these webinar sessions will help answer those questions and bring the school to life in our new virtual world.  All of our speakers will be joined by some of our students for a live Q&A at the end of the webinar.  Meet some of our speakers …

Ed Dickie

Since its foundation in 2011, Claremont Senior School has gone from strength to strength. As we approach our 10 year anniversary, Headteacher Ed Dickie will talk about all the Senior School has achieved and our unique approach to learning.  Ed will also explain what it really means to ‘Be Yourself at Claremont’ and his and team’s role in helping to prepare young people for a world that never stands still.

Claire Martin and Victoria Liggett

Claire Martin is Assistant Head (teaching and learning) with the main responsibility for curriculum design up to the Year 11. Claire is also the lead teacher for Chemistry at the Senior School and will be joined by our Director of Sixth Form, Victoria Liggett to during this webinar.  Claire will be talking about ‘Amazing Learning’ and how we prepare students in the lead up to the crucial GCSE years whilst Victoria will be talking about what ‘Opportunity’ looks like for Sixth Form students at Claremont, and how we prepare them for the diverse array of challenges and opportunities that await in life, as well as in further education.

Lea Owen and Sam Cotsford

Lea is Deputy Head with the main responsibility for the Academic and Pastoral progress of all our senior school students. In this webinar, Lea will be talking about our holistic approach to education, learning outside the classroom and developing essential life skills for 2030 and beyond. Sam Cotsford is the Head of Futures and also teaches Business.  Sam will be talking about student outcomes and will be joined by some of our Sixth Formers for a Q&A session.

Sarah Cakebread and Rak Patel

Sarah Cakebread is the Director of Performing Arts.  During this webinar Sarah will talking about the extraordinary journey she and her students have been on during her department’s short 10 year history, and the role of the Performing Arts in developing life skills that endure.  Rak Patel is the Director of Sport at Claremont and will be talking about his passion for developing a lifelong love of sport in all students at Claremont and the increasingly popular Sports and Exercise Science BTEC we offer.
