Claremont Forest School

Situated in our own glorious and expansive woodland, Claremont Forest School offers our children opportunities to achieve, develop independence, confidence and self-esteem, through hands on learning experiences and play.

Under the guidance of our trained Forest School staff, the children are given the freedom to explore and experience the natural world at first hand, and at their own pace. The ethos of Forest School, allows learners both the time and space to develop skills, interest and understanding over the duration of the year long programme. In reality, this means from September through to July they will be outside, in almost all weathers, living and relishing the changing seasons.

Careful observations of the children by the Forest School leaders running each session, allows the daily plans to be adapted to meet the specific needs of each and every child in the group. Currently children from the Nursery School to the end of Year 4 attend Forest School weekly.

Beyond this, we use the Forest School as a rich teaching and learning space with all year groups.
