After getting into their harnesses and listening carefully to the instructors, it was time to explore. Go Ape’s Treetop Adventure brings together wobbly crossings and zip wires, giving young adventurers opportunities to test their balance and try something new. Experiences like these bring Claremont’s development of life competencies into focus. Tackling an unfamiliar challenge helps children practise perseverance, make decisions and discover what they can achieve with encouragement. Each small step can build the confidence to take the next, both outdoors and back in the classroom. The visit reflects our broad co-curricular offer, where learning reaches beyond lessons and children have opportunities to discover new interests. Alongside our regular outdoor learning programme, adventures further afield help them develop independence and a willingness to have a go.
