Welcome to Boarding

Welcome to Boarding at Claremont

Francoise Armstrong

We are very proud of all our international students’ achievements and are often humbled by their enthusiasm and determination to fully immerse themselves in student life at Claremont.   For all of our boarders, we offer a safe, happy and quintessentially British boarding experience in a multicultural environment where everyone is welcome, listened to and respected.  A wide range of co-curricular and weekend activity programmes ensure that all students have access to a rich and diverse range of fulfilling learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.  Our close proximity to London and the coast also makes Claremont a great choice of school for weekly boarders and all international families looking to place their children in a safe UK location within easy reach of the Capital and its airports, as well as main travel links into Europe. International students are fully integrated into the school community which makes for a rich and vibrant study and social environment.

Being a member of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) has brought with it long-term financial security,  renewed investment and the opportunity to realise our ambitions to further develop our extensive grounds and already impressive facilities across our school sites.  We are proud of and regularly celebrate our cultural diversity at Claremont, and to be part of an exciting network of schools all over the world means that we are able to enrich students’ learning even further through an ever evolving programme of unique international learning opportunities to include leadership conferences, the ever-popular ISP Buddy Exchange, ISP Film Festival, TedX Youth events and Model United Nations programmes to name but a few.

We hope these pages will answer many of the questions you have, however, as always, we welcome your feedback so please contact us if there is anything more specific that you would like to know.  Francoise Armstrong – Director of Boarding at Claremont
