After a gap of over 20 years, Claremont School is once again pleased to be accepting boarders. In September 2015 Claremont proudly opened the doors to a brand-new, superbly furnished boarding house.
This facility allows local and overseas students to experience life away from home in a safe and personable boarding school environment. Set in the beautifully historic town of Battle in East Sussex, this new boarding facility combines a traditional English setting with state-of-the-art facilities.
Claremont’s boarding facilities are situated adjacent to the famous Battle Abbey and the English Heritage site of the Battle of Hastings. It is also just a five minute walk from Battle railway station. The completely refurbished boarding house accommodates up to 50 students, consisting of a combination of en-suite dormitories and single rooms. With a large common room, Wi-Fi throughout the house and set within two hectares of grounds and gardens, this is a wonderful setting for local students and those from overseas to experience life away from home.
An important part of senior school life is preparing to leave school and go to university or enter the workplace. Life in a boarding house presents an opportunity to do just that, with all students developing a wide range of skills needed when living independently away from home.
