Scholarships & Bursaries

We offer a number of generous scholarships to pupils entering in both Year 9 and Year 12.  These range from 10-50% of published fees and will be valid up to the end of Year 11, subject to on-going satisfactory performance.

These awards will be made to individuals who demonstrate outstanding potential in one or more of the following areas: Academic, Sport, Music, Drama, Art or Equestrian.

Claremont Senior School welcomes applications for scholarships into the new Sixth Form with entry in September 2017. By their very nature scholarships are designed to award outstanding potential and achievement in a number of areas: Academic, Performing Arts, Art & Design, Equestrian and Sports.

The award of a scholarship to a pupil carries with it certain responsibilities and expectations. We would expect Claremont scholars to play a full part in the life of the school, in particular in our varied co-curricular and extracurricular programme. They should be hungry for success and be keen to play a leading role in the Claremont community. Awards are intended for the duration of a student’s attendance at the school, as long as the individual contributes enthusiastically to the life of the school. Scholarships are reviewed on an annual basis. The size and number of scholarships is at the discretion of the Director and Headmaster of CSS.

Bursaries are also available for those of modest financial circumstances. These are means tested and also given at the discretion of the Headmaster and Director of CSS.
