Trips & Events
Children at Claremont enjoy a full range of visits and events. Most year groups participate in at least one external trip each term and, as the children progress through the school, there are many opportunities to participate in residential trips.
Examples of recent trips:
- Nursery Hop Farm, Paddock Wood
- Bluebell Railway
- Pre-Prep Rare Breeds Centre, near Ashford
- Buckley’s yesterday World, Battle
- The Enchanted Forest, Groombridge
- Drusillas' Park & Zoo
- Preparatory Observatory Science Centre, Herstmonceux
- Mary Poppins, London Theatre Trip
- Chessington World of Adventures
- Hampton Court Palace
- Pevensey Castle
- Hever Castle
- Science Museum, London
- Thorpe Park
Pupils' first visit to Maison Claremont, our study centre in northern France, takes place in Year 3 – initially just a day trip. Then from year 4 upwards, all children enjoy culture and cuisine in Saint Omer for a few days whilst gaining confidence in applying their linguistic skills.
The older children also take part in residential activity weekends, and have a wonderful time on the Leaver’s Trip in the South of France. A recent addition to the School calendar is the annual ski trip.
