Teddy Bears Picnic
Wednesday, August 25, 2010
Children from both Pre-Prep and Nursery had a wonderful time at the annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Tuesday 29th June.
Both teddies and children had great fun taking part in various games and activities in the school grounds. They thoroughly enjoyed their picnic in the sunshine and were delighted by a surprise appearance from Rupert the Bear!
During the week before the picnic the children decorated teddies for the colouring competition and tried to track down honey in a “Hunt The Honey Pot” game. There was also a raffle for the adults with prizes donated by local businesses including the Kino Cinema in Hawkhurst, the Rye Retreat, Mandhi Spice and the Hastings Stage Studio.
Each child made a small donation to bring their teddy to the picnic and in total well over £300 was successfully raised for St Michael’s Hospice.
